ARRIVING BY CAR

From the A/3 Naples – Salerno motorway, toward Naples, take the Castellammare di Stabia exit. After the Castellammare di Stabia exit, continue along the SS 145 for about 23 km, passing through various towns before Sorrento (Vico Equense, Meta, Piano di Sorrento and Sant’Agnello). Sorrento is about 48 kilometres from Naples and the journey time is about 1 hour without traffic.

ARRIVING BY PLANE

At the “ARRIVALS” area of Capodichino Airport in Naples, guests can take a Curreri bus, which makes daily connections to the Sorrento Peninsula. The ticket costs about 7 Euros and the trip takes just over an hour. From the airport you can also take advantage of taxis as well as many other Sorrento transport services, and prices range between 70 and 100 Euros. Buses, taxis and shuttles also provide connections from the airport to the Circumvesuviana train station in Naples.

ARRIVING BY BUS

From the Tiburtina Station in Rome, Marozzi buses run daily to the Sorrento Peninsula. SITA runs daily services to Amalfi, S. Agata sui due Golfi and Massa Lubrense (making all the intermediate stops in the towns along the way), and leaves about every half hour from the Sorrento Railway Station. There is also a bus service that leaves daily from Assisi to Sorrento.

ARRIVING BY SEA

Ferries and hydrofoils leave from the Beverello pier in Naples (near Piazza Municipio), with destination Sorrento. The trip is about 45 minutes and very comfortable, but the cost is almost double the train fare. The landing is at the port of Sorrento, which is about 500 meters from the centre and a shuttle service provides connections to the main square. From Sorrento it is also easy to reach the islands of Capri and Ischia, thanks to an efficient maritime transport network with frequent hydrofoils and ferries.

ARRIVING BY TRAIN

From the station of Napoli Centrale Piazza Garibaldi of the Ferrovie dello Stato, where trains arrive from the main cities of Italy, there are local trains of the Circumvesuviana that run daily service to Sorrento about every 30 minutes. The trip takes just over an hour and no reservations are required. The price of the ticket is about 2.60 Euros and you can buy it at the ticket office and news-stands in the station.
